What skills do I need to become a successful cruise agent for CruiseMagic?
A CruiseMagic.com home-based cruise agent should first and foremost have a passion for cruising. Potential Home Based Agents should be ambitious, self-motivated, organized, and outgoing. Proven sales skills are a plus as well as past cruise experience. You will be required to have a computer with the ability to view Microsoft Word and Excel files, Internet access, a dedicated phone line with toll free access, and the ability to receive fax messages.
What are the benefits and compensation for CruiseMagic.com Home Based Agents?
Agents affiliated with CruiseMagic.com are primarily responsible for building their own marketing plan, advertising and obtaining their own leads. We will share marketing ideas that have been successfully used by CruiseMagic.com and have made our agency one of the leaders in the cruise booking industry.
Furthermore, once you develop a marketing plan, we may be able to provide co-op marketing dollars. This means that you will not have to pay for all of your advertising, but in many cases be reimbursed for up to 50% of the cost.
Dependent upon your sales skills and motivation, you may qualify in the future to take advantage of our own marketing efforts and receive client leads. Unlike other home based agencies, we do not charge our qualified agents to receive these leads.
Typical 1st year agents who are devoting 30+hours per week earn approximately $20,000. Agents in their second year can expect to earn $30,000+. After a couple of years, the growth can be phenomenal. It’s completely up to the agent as to how much they will earn. This is all based on your ability to close sales and maintain good follow-up skills. Our agents are known for developing a personal relationship with their clients, resulting in a tremendous amount of repeat and referral passengers.
